Hanif' Speech About Indonesia

Honorable the juries, dear the audiences,

Bismillahirrahmannirrahim, Assalamu’alaikum.

Here, I am as a citizen of Indonesia would like to express an idea.”My Dream for Indonesia”
My Audiences
We know that we live in a place with amazing beauty. Place with different cultures. Place with a friendly personality and place that namely Indonesia.
We need to know that our country isn’t the greatest country in the world. Our country isn’t the richest country. But behind that all, we need to understand that we have generations who are ready to change this country for the better.
The great country can be looked from the history which happens there. Indonesia have exceed for 351 years in colonialism. Holland has taken our land, our human and our freedom for a hundred years.
Our colonialism is not enough
Japan has come to our nation for about 3 years with the extreme behavior. They do not only restrain our freedom but also broke our liberty.
It’s our history which has told us about our brothers in the past. They have tried to take out the colonialism from our land, for example: prince Diponegoro, child king of Mataram. They have inspired the war to Holland, or prince Hasanuddin, King of Makassar. Who have sacrifices his life because he did not join the Holland or our first president Mr. Soekarno who have said to the World; Free! Or Die!
My Audiences
We can study from our history. We can know that our patriot have done something patiently. They understand what must they do to keep our country, although, they also will die. They believed that will come to this land, generations who can build this country better than before.
But today Indonesia is silent. Quiet with reality about prosperous
Once upon a time, when I do my home work to interview ahead of the market traders of Kramat Jati, I saw an old woman was selling bread. Then I came to him. But she shot me” Who are you?”Do you want to break my hut?” Are you Satpol PP?”Then she was sweeping for minutes.
And now question for us
Where are we, when the beggar screaming?
Where are we when the children on the street hope the money?
My dream for my country is simple. My dream is only tell about confidence, convinced, harmonious and comprehension. Confident with arrangements, Confidence with our power, Convinced that we can do anything, to make this country better. I only hope we can keep our concord, our comprehension, we must understand what will happen with our country. Understand with our brother, and what will happen with all of Indonesian people. A president understands what the beggar hope to him! Our generation must understand what our patriot hope to us. We should be able to maximize our natural resources.
I believe that if we understand what happens with us will made arrangement that can bring us to be a great country in this world. We can make our Indonesia become a peaceful country and minimize poverty.
It’s my dream for Indonesia.
I know if we put all these things together, spirit of cooperation, commitment and flexibility. We will make this country become prosperous. Our people are waiting anxiously. Our place is watching us. I beg you; do not let them down.
Let us began our work comprehensively. We must give the best thing for our life and also Indonesia.
