Jihad's Speech About Sex Education

Honorable the Audiences,

Assalamu ‘alaikum wr. wb.
All praises be to Allah. May peace and blessing be upon to Prophet Muhammad saw.

Thanks to the master of ceremony for the time. So, I can deliver my speech in front of you all.

Honorable audiences,
As we know, sex is human’s way for preserving the generation. An effort in protecting human’s variety. Then, do all people know about it? In society environment, sex is known as a vague or bad thing. It’s an impolite behavior when there was someone talking on this topic, and I think it so. I thought that sex is not a suitable deliberation to discuss. And I was really confused, knowing that sex will be included in our subject in our school. How can!? The vague thing will be learned? In that time, I didn’t know exactly, what does the sex education mean? What will be on sex education teaching? Have we not study about reproduction system, when we was in the junior high school? Are these two lessons not same?
Then, I asked my friends who did browsing. And I found that Sex education does not mean the same as what I guessed. It doesn’t teach us How to do sex? But it more focused in explanation about sex. How to do sex in the right way, safely and legally? What is the impact of free sex? What are the diseases which can attack? And the others. It was like a shield which will prevent us from abusing sex. It will force us to think more before doing something dangerous. It will build our personality, our moral. It is useful for us!!!

So hard to believe, that Indonesia as the country that has the largest number of Muslims can be in the third sequence of the world in the number of victims of HIV AIDS. It shows that the understanding of the Indonesian people about the importance of sex education is still lacking. It needs a clear understanding to the people of Indonesia. We need to convince them that sex education is very important and very required for the benefit of youth in Indonesia.

It’s all what can I share to you now. It’s a short speech that I hope can be useful for us. And Before I finish my speech, I’ll remind you that a mistake is not only caused by an inadvertence but also can be caused by one’s ignorance about something.
